My son has a GPA of 4.05 (weighted) and 3.83 (unweighted).
SAT I score of 2000 (CR 670, math 710, writing 620)
SAT II US history 760, scheduled to take math II in December.
AP US (4), AP Calc. AB (4) AP Econ (3) AP composition (3)
He is also taking AP macro econ, AP psych, AP calc BC,
His ranking is 26th out of 250.
EC's include NHS, lacrosse, a part time summer job, Saturday school peer tutoring, outdoor school counselor, and ASB.
He is from Oregon.
What are his chances for BC??

His gpa is good, but his SAT is lower than their middle 50% and his class rank barely falls into the top 10%. His course rigor is solid but his ECs don’t seem like anything spectacular.
Remember Boston College only has a 29% acceptance rate which is highly selective.

So, for him (unless he can get his SAT up quite a bit) BC is probably a low/mid reach.

Thanks for your input.
