I really don't know but honestly I am happy that I did because it looks like I'm going to NYU next year, and I'd be much happier going there than BC. You never know with the admissions committee sometimes they just have a particular type of candidate in mind and I probably didn't fit the profile for that applicant pool.

12 hours till Tuesday's mail comes.....

Could anyone else waiting on a decision letter please post tomorrow if you receive yours? (I'll do the same)

Thanks, and good luck to everyone

Waitlisted...

can you tell me when it was postmarked please the magnanimous

May 15, I live near Boston also.

What are your stats if you dont mind me asking?

Decision: Waitlisted

Freshman at NYU
College GPA: 3.6
SAT: 1410 (770 v, 640 m)
EC's: not a long list, but some community service activities etc.

Applied as a senior in HS and was rejected. Thought I would get in after being accepted to Georgetown, but since I'm in there, I may not even stay on the waitlist at BC.

That would be a wise choice. I know many students who transferred from BC to here because its Jesuit presence was overwhelming and the school seemed to prioritize athletics rather than intellectualism. One student stated that it reminded her of high school.

if it helps any i just talked to an admissions rep. and he said that they planned on offering alot more positions this year but b/c less people left, etc. they werent able to and had to turn down alot of excellent applicants.

Was I really the only one who heard today?

I am in philly, expecting it tommorrow.. i was waitlisted last year and crossing my fingers

Hey TheMagnanimous (and everyone for that matter), this is posted in another thread, but I was just wondering if you would be able to log in by following the link below and let me know if you have posted the "2007 Undergraduate Validation Form" as a required form. For those of us who haven't received our letters yet, it would be awsome to find out if this letter signals an acceptance or not.

Thank you sooooo much for your help!!!!

Could you guys and gals check your financial aid status @ https://www2.student-1.com/StudentApp/. I think that's the site. Anywho if it's not then it's on the bc.edu site under financial aid. It's kinda hard to find. Anywho, I don't know what it means but mine has said for about the past two months that everything was in. I don't want to assume anything but now it says Incoming Undergraduate Validation Form 2007 is still needed. I don't know what that means, maybe good, maybe bad I don't want to be an @$$. Also, i emailed the school and they said they are sending decisions out may 15.

ummm i'm not even found in their system. watch my application never have even gotten there...

For those who recieved their decisions, did they come to your permanent address or to your temporary mailing address?

I put my permanent and mailing as the same so...

I just got my waitlist in philly my permanent address... i got waitlisted last year too, I am not going to stay on it though

Hey so you had a permanent and a college mailing address and they sent it to the permanent? Are you out of school? Sorry Im just trying to figure out where its going to be sent to

Yep bayarea

it should be sent to your permanent address if they have an organized office lol but who knows these days... if you don't get in a few days soon you could always call and explain to them your concerns

Well the thing is I'm still in school for three more weeks so I'd almost prefer it here...assuming it ever makes it to the west coast. This wait is killing me. Thanks for the reply btw
