okay so has anyone ever had their agora account change and actaully not be accepted?....i was waitlisted for fall 2007 and just today i notice my agora account changed to have the enrollment fees and applications for housing and orientation....people who were accepted had to turn in their deposits by june 8th...sooo just wondering if i am getting my hopes upp...

Hey, I just checked and my agora account changed as well! I was a waitlisted student, and I have all those enrollment fees, housing and orientation forms. Except when I click them, they say that its "not available at this time" or something to that extent. I have no idea if that means we got in off the waitlist or not....

Hey Guys,

I've decided to turn down BC's offer of admission. I"ll be going to New York next semester Woot Woot!!!
But the most important topic of this message is..............

CONGRATS ON GETTING OFF THE WAIT LIST!! On of you guys probably took my seat LOL Boston College is the BOMB!! I know....since I live in the neighborhood. Best of Luck!!!!

Congratulations to all those who beat the odds & transferred into BC. I'll be there as a freshman this coming fall, so I hope to see at least some of you there.

Go Eagles!

@Dawg & Dancergal: Can't say for sure, but it sounds promising. Hope you guys are in, and congrats! So, once you get your official acceptance packets, will I be seeing you in Boston in the fall? Orientation is July 22-24 for transfer students, just fyi.

I would love to go to BC. I sent in my deposit to Cornell, and have been starting to get myself pumped for it though. So I think i need to see how much financial aid they are able to offer me, and see if they have housing, being they say they don't gaurantee housing or financial aid to waitlisted transfers. i guess i'll just have to wait and see

The updated status sounds very promising. Enrollment status doesn't appear unless they're actually expecting some sort of enrollment payment from you, so hopefully it's not just a weird computer mistake on their part.

I just checked my account again, but this time it let me connect to the enrollment fees page. It begins with "I have received the notice of admission to Boston College and it is my intention to enroll." Hm.... I really hope this isn't a computer glitch or something.

That's what happened the night after they mailed the acceptance letter for me. They block it for a few hours, because you're technically not supposed to be able to use it until you have the packet in hand. Still, it should be in the mail. How far are you from Boston? I'm just north of Boston, so I got mine the day after they mailed it. Hopefully it shouldn't take too long for you to get yours.

yay my accounts work now too...i can make payments and such but i havent gotten anything in the mail yet...i live in washington so it will probably be a few days until anything comes...but i'm still very excited!

I live in long island, NY. I hope that the letter comes soon!

ace586- did you get any financial aid notification with your acceptance letter? or is it just online? I tried to click on the financial aid notification on agora, but it says that it's not available.

First, since it sounds like it's relatively certain now, congrats to both dawg and Dancergal! My guess is that letters should be in NY by Wed maybe? Washington (state, I assume?) may be a little longer... Say the end of the week?

w/ regard to financial aid, it's only online, and you should receive notification via e-mail when your decision is up. You have to send in the final form though, the Enrollment Verification Form, for the financial aid package to be considered complete. I forget exactly where it is... but it's in PDF format in the undergraduate forms section of either admissions of fin aid.

I wouldn't expect BC to knock your socks off with aid. They seem to calculate the EFC as payments towards tuition, rather than payments towards the total cost of attendance. Good luck though!

I just got an email stating that I got accepted! I'm very excited, and I am anxiously waiting financial aid notification so I can decide where I will be next fall.

I was just accepted too! :) Do you know when financial aid results are released?

I got the email too! i'm still waiting to hear from another school but its so exciting to kno no matter what i will be at a new school next year!

Congrats, all! Hope the financial aid works out for all of you. Let me know if I'll be seeing you guys at orientation!

my mom called the financial aid department, and they said they hope to have the info up by tomorrow at 5. if not, first thing thursday.

did anyone's financial aid come up on agora yet? mine still hasn't.

No, I haven't received my package in the mail yet either. It was sent out on Monday, right?

To those who were not accepted to BC for transfer do not fret. It's certainly not the institution that many make it out to be. I just to spent my freshmen year at BC and didnt like it all. The academics are not challenging (hence my near perfect GPA), the people are fake, and the housing is terrible. I'll be at Georgetown next year and im so happy I got away from BC. If you want to be in Boston apply to Harvard, Tufts, or Wellesley. My friend who is at Harvard loves it and I know others who are happy at the others. So to those who didnt get in dont get too upset.
