I have a 97 weighted (95 unweighted) average. My junior year courses include AP Biology, AP Language and Composition, AP US, Spanish 4, and Pre-Calculus. These are the most advanced classes that I can take as a junior at my school. I also take Latin as a second foreign language. Last year, I took AP Euro and got a 5 on the exam. I was in the 98th percentile on the PSAT (SI: 208, Verbal:69, Math:60, Writing:79). I hope to put verbal over the 700 mark and get math into the high 600s. An 800 in writing would be nice, but I'd settle with anything above a 750. I have been practicing math and I have been doing much better with it. My ECs include Speech and Debate, Drama Club (Vice President), National Honor Society, and I am the president of the Catholic Youth Organization at my church. I am in the National Spanish and Latin Honor Societies. I am also a Peer Minister at my school. I also volunteered 49 hours this summer at a hospital and I volunteer once a week to help teach second grade religion. I have won some academic awards and I was selected to go on my school's prestigious Leadership Weekend. I also am going on the National Youth Leadership Forum for Medicine this summer. (I want to do Pre-Med.) So...what are my chances?

I think you have pretty good chances at BC i got in EA this year with a B+ GPA and a 1410, so you should be fine.

Has anyone seen the Boston College campus? I haven't.

Does BC have a good Premedicine program?

Lol I got deferred with a B/B+ avg, and 1510. And I guess my immigrant status (I have a green card by the way), and my touchy-feely essay didnt help either. Tough luck

SDP I live about 10 minutes from the Boston College campus, it's pretty nice. I went to a BC Eagles football game there, it's actually in the suburbs outside of Boston, so it's more of a suburban campus, but Boston is only 15 minutes away. IMO the buildings were kind of drab, not too inspiring, there's nothing that jumps out at you immediately. But it's still a pretty good campus.

I applied there RD, I'm awaiting a response. With a 1390 and an 95 GPA. decent ECs. And yes, the campus is very nice, especially if you like city access with campus life.
I think your acheivements as a Catholic with enhance your chances, since they seem to stress that, and all colleges like to choose students they feel will fit in and enjoy all four years at the school in question.

Hopefully you and I will be as lucky as monkeyboy.

I think you have a pretty good chance...
