BU has always been a top choice of mine. I am very interested in their engineering program. By the time I begin to apply for college I expect my GPA to be at a 3.55 and my SAT to be at a 1350(new). I am a varsity captain in both football and wrestling. I am also a strong participant in Key Club, as well as an active member/leader at my church mentoring younger kids. I plan on applying EA next year. What are my chances of getting in with these credentials? Also, does your selected major at BU affect you admission?
EDIT: I am also taking 3 ap courses(Comp sci, physics, and english)

Seems as if youll have a pretty average shot. What is your ethnicity?
Unfortunately just white. Is there anything I can do to increase my chances?
Boston’s one of my choices as well. I am also in Key club and a ‘strong participant’, why not apply for Governor or a Trustee, or simply President of your schools’s key club to show some commitment to key club because I’m sure others who are ‘strong participants’ in other service clubs will apply.
I’ll give you something to chew on: 32 ACT and 3.48 UW GPA, got into BU (though declined the offer)
