I just found out my neighbor who is also a senior has already been accepted to BU! I started freaking out thinking maybe they just put up all of the decisions but it turns out he got recruited for hockey so they let him know ahead of time. totally unfair :(

Hahaha omg that’s funny. Only a few more days everyone!! Hang in there!!!

On the 2015 Ed thread someone posted they got in at 2:47 dec 10 and things were up. Maybe we’ll know within an hour too!! Ahhh

Lololol no because last year it was a Friday. And i don’t think they do it on the weekends so maybe Monday or tuesday. I hear they have more applicants than last year too so they may need the extra time.

I understand that BU will place you in CAS or CGS if they believe you’re a better fit as opposed to the college of your choice, like COM or SAR etc. If they do that, is it still under the ED binding contract?

I think that it would still be binding since in the application there was a space to check off if you want to be considered for CGS. So if it was marked off, then i think it still falls under the binding nature.

@Tennis901: Where was there a space to check off for CGS in the application? :o

I wanna say on the BU supplement part of the commonapp?

don’t exactly remember, but I am positive that I checked something like that iff

I feel like if they place you in a school other than your first choice it wouldn’t be binding. If you have your heart set on a major at a specific school, they can’t then force you with a binding contract to go to a different school like CAS or CGS. At Syracuse, for their ED you tell them which school you want as your first choice, which is binding, but you’re second and third choice aren’t binding if you get in.

On the common app there was a question asking if you wanted to be considered for CGS. I think if you don’t get into your first choice school, they’ll then offer you a spot in CAS or CGS. But I’m pretty sure it won’t be binding in that case.

@ hlg2525 Oh, okay. Thanks! Cause I applied to Syracuse for Communications as well. Which college did you apply to?

Yes I did hear that they did that! I pray that will be the worst of the admissions process and not a rejection. GO TERRIERS!

that’s actually what happened to my friend, it was not binding. if they can’t offer you your first choice major they’ll defer you and then offer you CGS through regular decision

DID ANYONE ELSE SEE THIS MESSAGE ON APPLICANT LINK?!?!?

“The Link will be unavailable due to Scheduled Maintenance
from Saturday 12/11/11, 12 Midnight until Sunday 12/11/11, 8 AM.”

What does this mean… What are they maintenancing?!? Maybe it means they are updating all of the decisions? I wish lol

ooh, i just noticed that BUgebs. I hope so!

oh my god, you guys, this could be it!!!

haha it says that every saturday night, but im hoping!

it does? aw bummer :(

Oh it does? I never noticed it before… Way to kill the joy JOY KILLER!! lol maybe we’ll get lucky and it may be it

@hashworth26 Do they offer you CAS or CGS when they notify you of the ED decision or when you’re automatically deferred to regular?

Im jumping out of my skin. I cant wait any longer, iv checked the link multiple times this weekend.IM GOING CRAZY… Has anyone applied to CGS ED?
