Being a month and a half away from the Boston University ED decision deadline I figured I’d start this for questions, comments, anything really to keep our minds occupied until December 15th! I’m sure y’all are as nervous as I am haha!

I applied to COM and am hoping for the best! What about you guys?
The countdown to mid-december begins!

Does anyone know if ED applicants need to submit 1st quarter grades? The website only says that 1st semester grades will be required if you are deferred, but our high school sent out a note that many schools require the quarter grades for ED as well.

Good luck to everyone! It’s going to be a loooong 5 weeks, I think.

Did anyone from the university tell you that? It does not indicate this anywhere that we can find on the admissions website, and it was not mentioned in the email acknowledging receipt of the application.

under the general Application Instructions,Additional Supporting Credentials, it does state “Senior Grades must be submitted as soon as possible”. It would seem that would be applied to all types of application.

BU doesn’t require first quarter grades for ED applicants, but ED applicants must submit first semester grades as soon as possible. Some schools do require first quarter grades, for example Wellesley College… don’t know any other schools. Usually the highly selective schools require first quarter grades.

If you’re that unsure I suggest that you call/email BU Admissions. College Confidential is not really the best place to ask because people will either use personal anecdotes or opinion.

Contact BU Admissions ASAP, but I’m sure that you don’t need to send first quarter grades.

Just called BU, they don’t want submission of first quarter grades unless they specifically request it of you via email or applicant link, speaking of which, when do we get our applicant links?

Just called admissions and was told that they would like all grades when they become available – very confusing that different people are getting different information

I’d call about that. I applied ed to SMG and I call so often t make sure everything for my application has been cleared and nothing got muddled up along the line. Thankfully it says that my application is complete for review! The only thing that worries me is that they haven’t received my CSS yet but it says that takes up to four weeks to process.

Best of luck to everybody! December 15th cannot come soon enough.

@ajaxm13 I called about the CSS profile and they said that they haven’t entered any of them into the system yet for anyone so if the CSS website says it’s sent they most likely have it, I have my countdown running on my phone for December 15th haha, time goes so slowly all of a sudden!
