*Boston University Class Of 2016: Regular Decision Thread*

I applied for CAS Undeclared. (I’m interested in English, Linguistics & Philosophy… and more haha). I can’t wait to find out!

I applied to COM for Broadcast Journalism! BU is my top choice! I originally wanted to apply ED, but didn’t because I was advised not to because it’s binding (Which i didnt care if it was). If you have family at BU does is help even in the slightest? My cousin who lives with me is in CAS’14.

CAN"T WAIT TIL MARCH 26TH!!!

Applied for computer science! BU and BC are my tops

Also, Vassar (Accepted ED2, then declined because of a computer error you might have heard of…), BC, Union, Lafayette, Marist, RPI, UMass.

Good luck all! It’s hard to wait until April…

BU is in my top 5.

I don’t just want to be accepted, I want to be accepted with some cash in hand!

And I applied as a Comm major.

How do you know our decisions come out march 26th???

I applied as bio major! :)

Does anyone know when exactly we find out? It think it’s mid to late March.

well find out between 24th of march-april 1st

Anyone visiting BU next weekend? I know I am. Maybe I’ll see you there!

Saturday morning, March 26, 2011 was the exact date last year that my son got his acceptance. Good luck you guys!

March 26 seems to have been the most common date over the last 4 years. Or, the last Friday of March, which would be March 30th this year, which seems a bit late.

Ok so my GPA went up halfway through the year. 4.02/5 now. With a 1630 SAT. I hope that gives me a bit of a better shot. All the ec’s, comm service, etc. are all great.

i applied to cas for economics/polisci

Just visited BU today. It was a lot more aesthetically pleasing than I would have thought and there is a great atmosphere. Students seemed happy! I’m very excited to here from BU in late March.

Hey guys, has anyone heard from BU yet? A kid in my class was notified almost three weeks ago that he received a full ride to BU… and not to sound mean, because he’s awesome, but my grades, scores, and rank are substantially higher than his and I haven’t heard anything… ):

Is March 26th the day it goes up on the Applicant Link or is that when they start mailing out decisions?

Hey!
I applied to the school of communications for a major in public relations.
I’m from chicago and my whole family is from boston
i’m so anxious to find out if i got in :/

I love BU, but even if I get accepted I probably won’t attend. The cost is way too much for me. Not sure how other people feel.

@Mariss
Hey. Anyway we all are anxious, however as Andybatts pointed out, the cost is way too much

@Andybatts
I feel the same exact way. I love how people tell you not to worry about the cost too much during the beginning of the college search period, something that bugged me from the start. And now I’m regretting that because the costs are actually making it much more difficult for me to choose where to go

If I get accepted into BU I will fill satisfied. I will not be able to pay 50k a year though, especially for a BA degree. Master’s is a different story…

Anyway, that’s how I feel about the subject

BU has a nice endowment and as I understand it this helps a great deal. That is unless your peeps are making 200k+. I hope the endowment info on college board is accurate because it make the price tag come back down to earth.

I went college of eng. but with a math of 640, reading of 540, writing of 590, GPA 3.65UW I might be on the out. I put so much time into sports it hurt the GPA, maybe the 8 letters and captain title was not all worth the effort. I did like my community involvement with coaching kids but the SAT’s and GPA might have fell short just a little. I get a kick out of my reading, that’s my strong point. I should have listened and got the SAT prep class my peeps offered to me. I just wanted to see my SAT grades for who I was, that might have been a bad choice. The upside I’ll know for sure what I can and cant handle.

It’s all good, no matter what happens. We all get to bug our parents about buying a sweat shirt from the school we go with. We can then sport it around in HS for a few weeks and be happy for where ever we go. All the best to all, its going to be fun and hard but its off to college we go. There is nothing left to do but wait and hope.

If they roll things out on a Friday it will give us all time to reflect, breath, and get read to make our final decisions. Good luck to the outgoing class of 2012 and incoming class of 2016!!
