*Boston University Class Of 2016: Regular Decision Thread*

I applied to the College of Arts and Sciences but, unlike what is seen in Icejets2016grad’s message with senior grades, mine says that the information is only accurate to date and doesn’t say anything about grades.

I applied to SMG and it has the message about senior grades… what does that mean? Is it a hint at potential acceptance?

Neu, I don’t think so I have the same thing and I applied to SMG

Ha! I can’t help but laugh. You couLd make a comedy reading the last two pages of this thread!

same as icejets!
We have received your application to the College of Arts & Sciences for the September 2012 semester. If you would like to change the college or school of application, or if you would like to discuss your application, please call BU Admissions at 617-353-2300 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Eastern Standard Time to speak with an admissions staff member.

Our records indicate that review of your application for admission is complete. Please be aware that all applicants are expected to submit senior grades as soon as they are available.

Please note that final admissions decisions for September 2012 will be sent in early April. Please verify your address (including e-mail address) by clicking Applicant Address.

is this good or bad? I can’t figure out if the senior grades request means anything or not…

Considering it says “all applicants,” and not “all admitted students,” I would hazard a guess that it means absolutely nothing.

Think Harvard’s probably right.

The wait is killing me

Hmm…I have the senior grades thing for ENG. I doubt it means anything, but for what it’s worth I didn’t have any engineering strengths in my application (ie. no science APs, no science SAT IIs, no science extracurrics, etc), and ignored their emails. I don’t think they’d accept me.

I will burst into tears if I don’t get into boston u… Ever since I was a kid it’s been my dream <3333 unfortunately I’m a borderline student so it’s a toss up for me  C’mon TERRIERS!!!

Have any of you applied for the Trustee Scholarship at BU? Does anyone know how soon after admission decisions I will find out?

Really want that :/

agree with icejets… this theme could be the modern day seinfeld. lol

from an email to BU parents on 3/20:

Boston University Class of 2016

“With a record number of applicants for the Class of 2016, this fall’s incoming group of students is sure to be a promising bunch. Our admissions office received nearly 44,000 applications this year, up 5% from last year. On top of the increase in quantity of applicants, we hear from BU Today that the academic quality of this class is among the highest. We look forward to welcoming the Class of 2016, along with their parents, into our BU family at summer orientation!”

Go to the “BU Today” web address for more info. Appears to be a bevy of applicants.

Good Luck, Mr. VC
