I was trying to show coolbrezze that he could have applied to CAS. Chillax.

I understand motion
but do i have to send SAT subject tests to BU GSC if i applied there directly
because i have a 25 act and a 1900 SAT and im sending just SAT
i dont want to send my subject tests because i got a 510 bio 510 spanish w/listening and 500 literature
these subject tests wont give me any chance at BU CGS cuz they are super low
i only intend to apply to BU CGS! no other BU colleges cuz i think CGS is awesome
can u/someone/anyone advice me what to do if i shud send those horrific subject tests or ot send them because BU SEP and CGS clearly say they dont requiore them like CAS
but recommend them
this is extremely exigent as i might go to a community college if i cant get into to CGS BU for RD becasuse my dad says im not worth anything if i dont get in here

You’ll be fine without them. That’s why they’re recommended, not required. And don’t allow anyone determine your self worth by what university accepts you because, remember, they’re only evaluating a bunch of pieces of paper, not you. If you had to hang out with an admissions officer for three months and then you got rejected, then maybe you could allow that to, somewhat, determine your self worth, but not in this case.

i applied direclty to cgs if i applied ED TO CGS WOULD I HAVE HAD A BETTER CHANCE? also
im rlly rlly scared my SAT is really low for CGS can i please take it in january for cgs regular decision

i wnet from a 4.2 soph year to a horrbile jr year

im trying tomake up for it with my SAT
im so depressed i cant eat, sleep, do anything!!!

what are your scores bro?? show me ur stats! I will chance you :)

my scores are horrific
i am not sending my subject tests to CGS cuz i have bad subjects and they dopnt need them
my SAT is 1900 i kno its bad im retaking and rush reporting my january SAT score
i applied dirrectly to CGS
i haveno chance
with a 1900 SAT
and a 3.6 uw 3.9 weighted fffffffffffffffffffffffffff

the workload is actually much heavier at CGS compared to other schools.

Really, bustudent18? How would you know?

well hanita…CGS is a part of boston university so student do receive the same EXACT financial aid as any other student

most students do not need to overload or take summer classes… so your one friend cannot be an example for everyone… they might have been a special case

and in fact CGS tends to have a heavier course-load

i would recommend for anyone to go to CGS … CGS is beyond ‘worth it’ … i wouldn’t trade my experience there for anything!!!

I would know because I was a student in the College of General Studies and am now in CAS. I have much less work now, even though I am an English major and have serious amounts of reading to do. In addition, I live with girls in CAS, SMG, and Sargent and they have commented that they do not have nearly as much work as I did when I was in CGS. So that is how I would know Hanita.

Def. have to agree with bustudent18 on this one. I am currently a sophmore at CGS, and I have MUCH more work than my friends in other schools. Not that I mind the extra work because my professors are all great- they actually know who I am, which you won’t get in CAS.

bterrier wud u mind sharin ur stats for CGS hopeful

i shud have ED’ed to CGS but ah well too late
