Hey, just submitted my application. I checked that I’d like to be considered for the College of General Studies, although I’m specifically applying for CAS. Just checking that I will be considered for CAS over the CGS, right? Also, what’s the deal with CGS? Is it worth it?
Thanks all!
Yes that is correct. If they feel like you might not be a strong candidate for CAS they will most likely accept you into CGS. In CGS, you spend 2 years within it taking courses in all different areas. After those two years you will transfer to another college within BU if you have a certain GPA.
Also note that if you enter CGS you cannot do an internal transfer until you have completed the full two year program. You may also be admitted to the CGS January-London program.
