@collegegirl1287 I got 2 paragraphs yesterday and got my decision today!
Did anyone receive their decision and have three paragraphs? I applied back in january… kinda confused as to why I still haven’t heard back, and I am still at three paragraphs. Applied to sargent
same happened to me. Its because they dont have your ssn. Call Admissions and give them your ssn and they will then have access to css profile and fasfa in which will take 3-4 business days to process your financial aid reward
@jmoney123 I also at three paragraphs and applied mid feb but the portal says they ave my css and fafsa. Did yours say they received it before you called?
@bkk2000 my daughter has 4.0 college gpa and 4.1 HS gpa and applied for Sargent and she is still at three paragraphs, maybe they go by major? Haven’t seen any acceptance from Sargent so far
I’m starting to think it is by college of study and maybe sargent had a lot of applications??
Anyone’s paragraph change to 2 today?
Has anyone here applied and been rejected? Cause everyone that posted and got their decision was accepted, kind of gives me the vibe that if you don’t get ur decision soon, it might be a rejection
@KojouAndYukina I don’t know about BU, but I do know other schools have similar systems to what you’re talking about. At other schools, the best applicants are rushed through fast (the no-brainer students) then the rest are put through and the office has 10-15 minute debate and conversation on whether or not to admit students. If you are not in that 4.0 1600 SAT group you may be put to the table. My roommate just got accepted( he has a 4.0) I’ve noticed that all the acceptees seem to be well-qualified candidates. Makes me nervous though I’m well above the average candidate, though i have seen no action on my portal yet. If BU is the same the longer you wait for a decision the higher the likelihood of denial. I’ve noticed in previous years the first wave almost always is all accepted students and once we start hitting mid-April the denied posts start coming in. It’s hard to be sure when people are denied because it’s a hard thing to admit and no one wants to post that on a public forum.
Just got an email from BU saying that it is missing materials still… My portal still says that I am missing my college transcript which the common app says they received in FEBRUARY. I had already called once about it before March 1st and then sent an email on March 29th and each time the told me thay had my transcript but didn’t fix the portal. Thy guy on the phone that I just called and was very nice and told me that he would send an email and get that taken off my portal so hopefully that helps. People who are missing materials even though they should be off ur portal already should call.
@transfergirl10 just got the exact same email and I’ve has the same problem. Giving them a call I’ve been on hold for a while
The glitch seems to be resolved, I am able to access the letter again. Good luck everyone! Don’t be afraid to call them if the portal is lagging or not updating materials!
@sydkay OMG SO EXCITING! YAY COM haha—have you decided what focus yet? I was so nervous of being a junior transfer
How much did people receive for the FA award?
@thisismyname08 my daughter has a perfect score with all right courses , she is still at 3 paragraphs ?♀️
@thisismyname08 I understand what you mean. I’m a freshmen trying to transfer and both my college gpa currently and my highschool(weighted gpa) is a 4.0(for now at least, this semester looking rough), and I have a few extracurriculars related to my major, in applyinf for CS in CAS and for extracurriculars I do some projects with current professors, along with helping manage a CS club at my school and I also attend hackathons(and have an interest in them) which I demonstrated on my application. I’m still at 3 paragraphs tho and I’m nervous, I tend to not get accepted anywhere ;-;
@KojouAndYukina my daughter is also freshman with college gpa 4.0 and HS gpa 4.1 with lots of extra curriculum activity , she didn’t send her SAT since it was optional and now I wonder maybe that’s the reason she hasn’t heard back. Did you send yours? I hope both of you get in, good luck
Please note: Secondary school students studying outside of the US and enrolled in a full International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma program are not required to submit an SAT or ACT test score, regardless of citizenship. However, if you are applying for the Trustee Scholarship, an SAT or ACT test score is still required.
