Have you received your decision yet? I just got 2 pgs.
Anyone College of Fine Arts?
hey guys I applied march 1st and every document was submitted before that but on april 5th i got the email saying i had missing materials and I know my portal had said for a while my ucf transcript wasnt in, but i was giving it some time to see maybe if it was a processing delay.
so on the 5th I check to see what im missing and of course its the same thing and i found out that ucf never sent my transcripts! luckily on the 1st of april i sent another transcript from ucf and a counselor said they recieved it on the fourth. he also mentioned that my transfer college report was missing and i was extremely confused having been since i sent it on february 16th lol, turned out it was “misfiled” he fixed that issue for me. i still have the three paragraphs and wonder if these supplemental material delays damaged my chances of getting in…i have good stats 3.81 with 52 credits freshman at ucf) really good essays, heartfelt rec letter ;), and in lots of extracurricular my best being a fraternity for pre med that i mentioned in my essay i want to create at bu if i get in so… whats up bu?? anyone else have a similar situation as i do?
ACCEPTED into Questrom with 3.45 GPA. Hell Yeah!!! idk how I got in
@cheekynando27 are you a freshman?
@Bostonstudent123 Oh man I hate to reply with a comment like this and anybody feel free to correct me if I’m completely wrong but the College of General Studies sounds a lot like the Harvard Extension School or Boston College’s Woods College of Advancing Studies. These programs are at many universities, and while having slight affiliation, aren’t really immersive, true programs that speak to the rest of the college. The classes actually have completely different professors and your opportunities and resources will be limited. I’m fairly sure that you’d have to apply for transfer again into one of the actual schools at BU, or something along the lines of internal transfer but its not one of the main schools within the university. I just read it’s actually a two year school within BU and its like internal transfer after you finish there. If that was your plan anyways then awesome! But if not, and you were actually looking to transfer into a program with your intended major then I hope this information finds you well. Sorry in advance if it comes off in a negative way, no harm meant. Good luck!!
@financeguy29 College of General Studies is a full undergrad college within BU, it’s quite different from Harvard Extension etc. As long as you have at least a 2.0, once you’re done with the College of General Studies curriculum you’re free to go to any college/major within BU.
The general studies is part of the BU undergraduate division. Though the quality of education is slightly lower than other BU schools, but it is nothing like Harvard Extension.
Accepted into Questrom!! I didn’t receive an email that my status was updated but I was checking all day today because mine switched to 2 paragraphs this morning.
I am transferring in as a sophomore with a 4.0 community college GPA and 4.3 HS GPA.
I have an accounting internship and lots of extracurriculars on the side to support it.
I did send my SAT scores, too.
Accepted into SED. 3.7 GPA at Big Ten School in honors college. Senator on student government. Rec letter from honors professor/ BU alumni. I didn’t send my SAT scores. I have studied abroad and also participated in research. I am going to be a sophomore. Good luck everyone!
Accepted into CAS around 8PM with HS GPA 4.1 and college 3.5. No extracurriculars, but my essay is definitely what helped me. I also applied in HS, but was rejected.
For those who were accepted, when did you receive your financial aid package?
Also was it BU that does not offer housing to transfer students?
Accepted!
HS GPA: 4.5 weighted
College GPA: 3.84
SAT: 1230
I had a lot of extra curricular activities and my essays were pretty strong. I also reported getting into a Duke summer program for research in the middle of the application process so that might have helped.
Guys who here is in the same position as me with submitting the CSS/FAFSA late? I’m really hoping that i can at least get some money that would bring it down to about the price of a public school so that i can attend. What are the chances that i will get any money? Me and my dad just finished the CSS right now. Really hoping i can get some tuition assistance because i want to attend so bad :neutral:
Has anyone accepted received their credit evaluation yet? I submitted everything for evaluation back when I applied, and am not sure if I should resubmit syllabi etc for evaluation.
Has anyone started the housing process? I tried looking for roommates via the portal but it seems like nobody else has made a roommate profile yet. Has anyone started housing or roommate stuff yet?
Waited all this time and now they want midterm report… has anyone else had midterm reports requested and does it take long to get a decision after. it’s very strange I have a 3.84 and have had growth in my gpa growing from a 3.6 to a 3.9 in recent semesters.
@thisismyname08 did you have 3 paragraphs or 2 before they asked you for your midterm report
@bvbchamps Thanks for the clarification!!
