I'm currently a student at Northeastern University (CPS) and will soon be graduating with Bachelors of Finance & Accounting Management. I've been looking for a reputable grad school that offers online programs (due to the flexibility it offers). Boston University (Metropolitan College) is exactly what I'm looking for. From what I know, it has a good reputation compared to other "online universities" and they offer a Masters in Management (Specialization in Banking & Financial Services Management) . My question is, how hard is it to get into BU for grad school? Has anyone ever had experience with Boston University to get their Masters?

Will they look at my previous transcripts from HS and take it into consideration? My HS gpa was a mess (slacked off a lot) and I never took the SATs. But I currently work in the Finance Dept for a company, have a 3.96 GPA, and I will be getting my bachelors in a couple of months after two years at Northeastern.

I don’t know anything about BU grad school, but I do know grad schools do not care about your HS transcript and GPA. They only care about your undergrad GPA and CV, Letters of Reference, Statement of Purpose and GRE scores.

I am fully aware of online universities (Walden, University of Pheonix and etc). I’ve done plenty of research to be sure that my money will be well spent. The schools I mentioned are the traditional B&M schools (I.e. Northeastern University and Boston University, both in Boston Ma) that currently offer online programs (distance learning). The requirements to be considered into the online programs mentioned in these B&M schools have the similar requirements to applying to the programs that they offer on-campus, unlike the other “online universities” that will be glad to simply take your money.

My main concern is how hard is it to get into an MS Management program (Specialization in Banking & Financial Services Management) with Boston University.

OminousRun- What is a GRE? Where do I take it and when (while in school or after graduation)?

GRE is required for almost all schools.
You should take this before you apply to graduate schools.
You need to apply for graduate schools during your senior year usually…

But I recommend taking it earlier than that since the material is basic and you can retake it if you do poorly!
