Boston University & GWU

So I'm a senior and I've applied to both BU and GWU and also American and Pitt.
GPA - 3.9-4.0
SAT - 1990
I'm in:
NHS
FBLA
Marching Band (drum major)
World Affairs (president)
Jazz Band
Musical
The Grange (10 years)
Quiz Team (captain)

Accomplishments:
I got the Global Travel Scholarship through the Pittsburgh World Affairs Council and I was one out of 12 students from around the city who were chosen, and the total number of applicants was around 100. So, I spent a month in Africa doing community service

I won the English award in 10th grade for being an outstanding student

I won the portfolio award

Distinguished honor roll all through high school

I was a fair queen last year

I appeared on a quiz show called Hometown HiQ in Pittsburgh

I'm really active with community service through the grange and do things like sew dolls for children in hospitals and sew dresses that we donate to the church which sends them on mission trips to Kenya

Basically I just want to know my chances, because GWU is my first choice. I'm also in all AP classes this year and have always been in honors classes. Thanks for the help!

I think both are a match. I applied to GW too… my best friend attends now and his GW stats are lower than yours much lower but his EC were outstanding and so was his essay…so those are very important to GW, I know extracurricular mean a lot to them. Chance me back pls

Your GPA is very good for both of those schools. Test scores are decent but could be better, although I have a friend that got into gwu with a 1900. ECs are also fine. id say your a match for both, maybe slightly better for gwu.
