I managed to get 50k for financial aid from BU. My family income is about 66k.
I didn’t file the FAFSA in time so couldn’t get any need based financial aid
@brendafly what do you mean about the “first choice” deadline? you can let boston university know that they are your first choice, but not apply early decision?
I was accepted to CAS with a 2120 SAT and 4.2 GPA, from NJ. Applied before the merit aid deadline but don’t think I received any. Congrats to those accepted and to those waitlisted/denied, good luck with the rest of your decisions, you’ll end up somewhere you love!!!
Is financial aid something you apply every year, or what you get in your freshman year is what you get for rest of the 4 years?
@jjohnross I don’t know if that is possible, but I accidentally(?) did that. I applied as Early Decision originally, but emailed them later saying if I can defer my application to Regular decision, because of financial issues. I told them Boston is still my first choice, and they were like okay. I don’t know if that helped with my acceptance through. However, I still won’t be able to attend BU even through it is my #1 choice and is my dream school, because of financial reasons… They gave me no financial aid or scholarships (international) whatsoever… So good luck with the decisions guys.
Accepted to CAS with presidential scholarship (international)!! Congrats everyone!!
