Boston university transfer 2014

I am from northern VA and go to george mason. Currently a freshman biology major looking to transfer as a first semester sophomore. My grandpa went to BU and being in Boston for college is just unreal. So ideal! Could you guys give me opinions on my stats?!? I’m so nervous. After this semester I would have completed 34 credits. Also I’m applying to the Sargent college

HS GPA: 3.71
college GPA: 3.91
Extracurriculars in college: Armenian community involvement, women’s club soccer, relay for life planning committee
Extracurriculars in HS: JV soccer, travel club soccer, gymnastics manager, volleyball team, piano, fellowship of Christian athletes, Armenian youth organizations

I was also in the national honor society in high school and joined the alpha Lambda delta freshman honor society at mason as well as the national society for collegiate scholars.

I keep checking the applicant link for a decision but no news!

I got my decision last Friday. Same college GPA, way lower HS GPA… you should have no problem getting into BU.

Oh hey I’m from nova too! I went to Stone Bridge. I applied to BU for this fall and just figured out I got in today! We have almost the exact same stats, so I think you’ll be fine. I haven’t decided where I want to go, as I’m still waiting to hear back from other schools but BU is in my top 2!

Hello everyone!
i am new to this BU thread!
I have a question, and hope you guys can answer it for me!!

1. SO, I have not submitted my midterm grade yet- because I got C for my history class for my first midterm (other two classes are A tho), so I was waiting for the second midterm for that class, and it is this Wed. Professor said she can grade mine on that day, so I will probably be able to send the midterm report this week.

Do you think it is too late?

2. I have gotten email from BU to submit course syllabi… and I was procrastinating forever until now. I mean I have taken 24 classes at my community college, so it is really hard to get all the syllabi from like fall 2011 classes. but then, I just checked the application status webpage, and it says,

*Our records currently indicate that the following credentials are still required to complete your application for admission :

Transfer Mid-Term Grades

it does not say anything about course syllabi…so did you guys submit course syllabi?
Does this really affect my admission? :(

Thank you :)

@andys15‌ omg you are?! I went to George C. Marshall! and wow, same person haha cuz BU is in my top two aswell (UVA and BU) ! I got in, but my financial aid was ehh so i’m not sure if I’ll be going. Where else have you applied to?!

@osygirl‌ No i think you’re okay as far as them accepting your mid-term grades but just try and get them in as soon as possible! and no submitting your course syllabi has no correlation with your admissions decision. Its solely dependent on ur application criteria. course syllabi only help you out when trying to transfer your credits. The sooner you do it, the sooner you’ll get your credit evaluation as that might be a determining factor for you in if you attend. Cuz some people wait until they receive their admissions decision and then submit it and that sucks because you may not even know what transfers in until the fall semester!! I only know this stuff cuz I called and asked lol
