Can I still apply for transfer? On the common app, they open transfer application
If I even get accepted, financial aid is going to be a big factor as to whether I choose to deposit and it seems it can take weeks to process. I hope they’re lenient on extending the deadline
deadline to accept their offer is june 1st right?
Yes to accept the offer of admission and to pay the tuition deposit
@eriddle Yes it’s been over 2 weeks since I got accepted and I am still waiting for financial aid sigh
@Yankeefan20 I received no financial aid or grants. My financial aid letter only contained information about possible loans I qualify for (5.5k).
Granted, I don’t get financial aid because my family makes slightly more than the allowed income, but I figured I would get some grants or gift aid as I did for the other schools I was accepted to.
The fact that my estimated cost is basically my household income is just sad.
I hope everyone else has better luck with their financial aid packets!
Yes it’s June 1. But what’s going to happen if you don’t do your deposit on time?
If you don’t pay your deposit on time, you will not be able to enroll at that school.
That’s not necessarily true… if need be, I’ve heard of people emailing admissions and being granted an extension.
that’s different than not paying your deposit by the deadline
Anyone get acceptance letter today?
is anyone still waiting on credit eval?
Did u guys put name on syllabus?
@kOREABOY yes i originally submitted them without my name and they said to resubmit all of them with my name and BU ID
are they still sending out acceptances?
I hope so. I didn’t receive it yet
How long did it take for you guys to get your financial aid after you were accepted?
@czfendell It’s been nearly 3 weeks and I still don’t have mine lol
@mlplover69 sheesh! Here’s to hoping they come out soon!
Hello all! I was accepted a few weeks ago to the College of Arts & Sciences (I want to do Film Studies).
I’m at a community college right now and am about to complete my AA in multidisciplinary studies. I previously attended Seattle University for a year and left due to mental health issues. I failed a class while I was there.
I have a 3.51 GPA at cc and did some volunteering at a film festival last Fall. I also have a work-study position at my cc that I’ve held since July.
I had no idea what my transfer chances were like at any college, so I was very happy to get into BU! Now I just have to wait for financial aid… I’m on my own to pay for college and if I have to take out any private loans I will not be going to BU.
