I doubt it…last year people saw the paragraphs around a week in advanced before getting their decision, and a couple of people in this thread said they called admissions and were told it wouldn’t be until the end of the month
I think I also read earlier in the thread someone said that the format changed this year and the whole paragraph thing won’t apply to us this year… not sure though. Last year the first decisions came out April 5
I applied as a Fall 2019 transfer last year and was accepted. I got my decision on April 4, 2019 at 3 PM. Ultimately, I didn’t go through with transferring because of medical reasons that made it difficult.
Reapplying this year because everything has settled down and I’m finally ready to make the jump.
And tbh last year, my essays were sloppy and I took easy intro classes. Still got accepted. If someone like me got in with my uninspired essays and easy-A classes, the rest of y’all def have a chance of getting accepted. Good luck y’all!
@apocalypso just wondering, but what was your SAT/ACT?
Hi guys! I’m new to the chat. My high school was closed due to COVID and didn’t send my transcripts until yesterday and they are still willing review my application. Given this info I think that it may be a while before decisions because they were still reviewing applications all this week. My guess is late April.
Yeah they said that decisions will be about beginning late April through may.
This wait is actual torture haha. The no paragraphs thing is also no fun either
What’s the consensus on calling to see if they’ve received but not processed documents? I sent in my transcripts over a month ago and everything has been taken off of the checklist other than my transcript from the college that I took the majority of my classes at. I’m worried that they’ll ask me to resubmit it and my school only sends paper transcripts so it’d take a while. What should I do?
@LNK1999 Schools have been flexible and have allowed online copies as substitutes until you get official copies. But also BU took more than 3 weeks to put checkmarks on my transcripts. You don’t lose anything by calling. On the other hand, they may put a note on your application that you are following up on the process. That’s what they put on my file.
Can anyone chance me?
Applying for Questrom
Male, Mixed
Applying from an unknown 4yr
3.94 GPA and 3.95 Mid-term report
30 ACT (taken as a junior in HS)
3.0 HS GPA (BIG upward trend)
Decent EC’s (major-related though)
7/10? LOR
Straightforward but solid essay (7.5/10?)
Holy mother of God I have 2 paragraphs.
BU suddenly ask me to upload my midterm grade. Does anyone has this issue? Does this mean they are looking into my application? I read last year thread that it is not totally necessary because BU will still make decision without it
it means they’re looking at your app and want to see your midterm report.
@dinwood222 what do the paragraphs look like?
@LNK1999 I had the same thing! For me, under the received tab, there was a document titled “Transcript” (that was separate from my HS Transcript), but my college trspt still hadn’t been checked off. I emailed them and they said the “transcript” under the received tab WAS my college transcript and it just hadn’t synched. see if you have that under your received tab?
@dinwood222 Yayyyy. Hopefully, a decision will come out soon. Also, what do they say?
Hi all - i just came across this thread & i applied as a transfer student too ! i was just wondering if someone could explain the two paragraphs / three paragraphs thing thanks
nvm, i think these aren’t the paragraphs.

They’re not, according to last year’s portal anyways
These aren’t the paragraphs, at least I’m pretty sure not. I’ve had this on my portal for a few weeks now…hopefully, means they’re processing and releasing decisions soon!
