I applied last year, when the prompt goes from 3 paragraphs to 2 it means your decision is coming soon. You’ll very likely get it next week (around the same time last year when people started getting decisions)
Everyone’s prompt goes from 3 paragraphs to 2 before their decision gets released.
yaaaaaaaay
@msport Did you get in? I also have 2 paragraphs on my portal
Does anyone know if rejections get released in the first wave? I have had a 2 paragraph message so I’m very anxious.
I’m hoping that we hear back next week does anyone know, I have 2 paragraphs too and have had them for a while.
It turns out I still had the three paragraphs, not two before. Today, my portal was updated, asking me for my midterm report to complete application. Yikes! Did everyone have to do that or does that mean I’m borderline?
I submitted that but I dont think they ever asked for it
@stelliferous Same boat as you. My application was completed for a while; last week it changed asking for my midterm report, and is now back to the 3 paragraph prompt.
I think it could (possibly) be good news? It means they def wanted to see your midterm grades before making a decision; and I don’t see why they would ask for a midterm report if they intended to deny a student (assuming you’re sending in a good midterm report).
@2016* I was just saying yay because someone confirmed the two paragraph rumor.
I love you guys, and hopefully, we will laugh about it soon, but reading this thread makes my head spin hahaha.
Constantly checking this thread for takes on opinions of the paragraph situations (mainly an answer about whether I am going to get rejected next week) and it makes me sick.
Mine just switched to two paragraphs!

Ugh, just got into Fordham and Michigan, now I’m waiting on BU!!!
I am thinking admissions decisions will start coming out next week onward! I can’t wait any longer… somehow I have to just stop thinking about it for the time being. If that’s possible lol.
@koreanincali hi! would you please tell me when did you submit your application to BU? Just curious if they make the decision based on the application date or something else.
@Miamitransfer
Congrats! That makes me feel better!
@transferstu18 i submitted 1/31!
This question may have been asked 100^100 times but do they send out rejections in the first wave? I have the two paragraphs on my applicant link and its been like that for a week or two
@JohnSmith12345 I was wondering the same thing. I looked in a previous thread and found that only one person posted a rejection for thee first wave. This makes me think that rejections do come out but people don’t want to be the first to post about it.
Also, it makes sense to me that they’d send acceptances to their first choices and rejections to those they do not want in the first wave.
@Bostontransfer18 Interesting… crossing my fingers that we get accepted!
A brave soul should call and ask if they send out rejections on the first wave
