What I’m confused about is that last year people didn’t report a change to their portals this early on. A 2 P message meant a decision was coming the next day. I hope we can expect a decision by the end of this week. Maybe this year they give the same message to everyone as soon as documents are sent in?
@koreaincali
A friend of mine got in last year April 3rd, her college GPA was a 3.6 as a freshman and H.S. GPA was a 3.1 with no ECs, and she applied on March 1st (the deadline), and she came from a mediocre small public university. Her experience has me very hopeful that we will shortly be hearing back.
@Bostontransfer18 I am honestly about to call and ask so I stop stressing about it.
@TransferFall2018 Yes please take one for the team
By the way,
“Maybe this year they give the same message to everyone as soon as documents are sent in?”
I’ve had all my documents in since early February or late January, and the portal changed to that prompt from the 3 paragraph one just the other day, which has my common sense thinking that they’ve already made a decision.
@TransferFall2018 I honestly don’t know whether or not I should be relieved at this point. I’m so worried they’re putting off mailing decisions so the first wave can be a mix of rejections and acceptances
I literally just decided to log into CC on a whim, while procrastinating, and all of a sudden I get 45 notifications on my feed! You guys are starting to stress ME out, haha!
I also have the 2 paragraphs thing, which changed at some point (idk when I haven’t been logging into my portal too faithfully, been so stressed about school this last week). From what I’ve read of the posts, this implies a decision is soon to come? Maybe?
I think it is a little relieving that the only people posting rejections in previous years were all in June, which I think says something. I know you said people may have been rejected in the first wave but didn’t post, but I think the fact that if you look back at previous years threads and there’s never anyone posting about rejections this early is a good sign.

My brother got into College of Art and Science and got 59k in aid. Got accepted first week of April. Told me that BU takes the people they want the most on the first week. I don’t know how accurate this is. Both of us applied
@r3j3ct3d1 what do you mean by 83-84 overall and 73 senior year? did you guys have a different way of calculating GPA’s than the standard high school?
@r3j3ct3d1 also, how did he get 59k in aid?! that’s insane, i could for sure use some of that money LOL was it need based aid? from fafsa and etc? my EFC for fafsa was like 00012 or something, so i’m hoping to get some aid…
@koreanincali 83-84overall is a 3.0 all 4 years of my HS average combined, 73 senior year is a 2.0 gpa for both semester of GPA. In my HS we get percentage scores not on 4.0 scale (we convert it ourselves). MY EFC is 0. My brother and I are first generation, low income asian family.
Update: portal finally updated and they processed my college transcript!
