Boston University- Unexpected Admissions Decision. Any ideas?

If you aren’t granted admission to the BU accelerated BS/MD program, are you still considered for admission to BU as a regular undergraduate? I thought that this was the case, but I was not granted admission to BU (I applied for the accelerated program). I have a 2300+ SAT score and a 4.8 GPA, so I am wondering if this is the case? (I understand that admissions are more than numbers, and I do participate in many extracurricular activities as well.) Any help or input regarding the admissions decision would be greatly appreciated.

Last year I was at BU for a summer program, and the dean of admissions told us directly that people not accepted to the accelerated program are automatically not considered for admission.

@banana777 Is there a way to switch it so that I am considered for admission to BU?

@banana777 Honestly I didn’t know that they wouldn’t consider me for admission as a regular undergrad. Most other schools with bs/md do, so I assumed they did (oops). But in that case I would really want to switch my application to regular undergrad admission, if that’s possible.

@heytherehey Sorry! I’m really not sure! Maybe you should try calling the admissions office? :frowning:
