The prestige gap is relatively large, but if I don't know if I can last the boredom at sd. I'm planning to do one year at sd and attempt a transfer to Berkeley and ucla, and if denied transfer to Boston u. Also the end price is about the same to both. <p>if the end price is about the same, then go where you want. Going somewhere with the expectation of transferring isn’t realistic, I don’t think. You would need to spend two years at UCSD before you could transfer anyway. The odds that you could get a high enough GPA at UCSD to transfer to Berkeley or UCLA are quite low (you’d need a 3.7+).</p>
