I know these are all over the place haha but I am premed so I want to go to a place where I have good chances of getting into med school and not end up being one of those “weeded out” kids. My issue is that I love BU and UCLA a lot, but I hear that both are very cutthroat in terms of the premed track, especially BU’s infamous “grade deflation.” But keeping that in mind, is it unrealistic to go into BU or UCLA as a premed? I heard a lot of people say on CC that at UCLA that a lot of times even their best wasn’t even good enough or that hard work doesn’t necessarily pay off.
And then there are UT Austin and Fordham. I like both of them but and it would probably be easier to get a good gpa for med school apps at both of these schools, but they definitely aren’t as prestigious as BU and UCLA.
Keeping that in mind, which one should I choose as a premed? (Also, they all cost the same for me so I can’t really choose the “cheapest” one)
