Boston University

Hello everyone.
I'm thinking of applying to boston university for a business major.
can you guys list some advantages of the university and boston itself for a business student like me?

kindly do so ASAP

Thanks alot :D

Boston is a UNIVERSITY TOWN!!

1) Im applying to northeastern which is in Boston because Boston is full of university students. You have Harvard and MIT right around the corner. Its a great atmosphere for students to be immersed in.
2) Boston is a city which is also great because city life is great in my opinion - there is so much to do. If you look at stanford university for example, it is an amazing uni but it is socially boring because it is isolated in the middle of nowhere. You have to travel for like an hour to get to san francisco.
3) Boston university is one of few universities which offers scholarships to more than 25% of the applicant pool

-Boston is a great city to study in because of all the other universities around. Plus it’s just a fun city to be in and BU is right in the heart of everything.
-BU has a strong business program. Although I didn’t graduate from the business school (I went to BU and majored in health sciences), some of my friends were business majors and came out successful.
-Although BU is a huge school, the business school (which is called SMG) has many student groups that you can join and also has much smaller class sizes. This way you can make friends a lot easier and fit in.

Boston and BU in general isn’t for everyone. It can be expensive and the campus is in the city, so just remember it’s a huge school and constantly busy. If you like a quiet environment and smaller population, you won’t like it. With that being said, you should visit and see if you like it.

Advantages:

  • new building/equipment
  • many resources
  • business fraternities/clubs
  • very competitive
  • professional culture
  • helps for internships
-helps build teamwork and concentration skills for workforce

Disadvantages:
-Seems very cutthroat

  • Cliquey
  • Competitive
  • Grade Deflation
  • Very strict course layout/ curriculum
