Bostons admissions, SAT subject tests REQUIRED?

So I plan on applying to BU this fall and under the admission requirements on college board it says:

Admission requirements:

* Essay(s) required

 • Required: SAT Reasoning Test or ACT
 • If submitting ACT, the writing section is required
 • Required: SAT Subject Tests

I, however, haven’t taken an SAT subject tests. Will I not be considered for admission?

Thanks for your help.

If you take ACTs, then you don't need subject tests. If you didn't, then you need both SATs and SAT2s

Yeah, if you take ACTs, you are exempt from taking SAT subject tests. If you haven't taken ACT, make sure you prepare for SAT subject tests.

The above is true in most cases. You may want to double check with admissions because I think some majors/schools require certain subject tests, but that is rare.

^True. The exceptions are if you're applying to the accelerated medical or dental programs.

Here's a link to the schools/colleges and their test requirements

What is considered a good sat II score? I'm not an sat person. I have not even taken the SAT I since I do horrible on practice tests. I'm O.k. at the ACT so I deiced to do that ( got a 29 or 30 super-scored (i don't think BU super-scores tho)).

I took SAT II just to see how I would do. I didn't study at all but I'm in all IB.
Math 2-730
Bio- 720
Chem- 650 <<Really tired by the 3rd test....

Since I have the ACT I'm not required to send these in but are they good enough to be a boost to my resume.

jake, they are all excellent scores. I cant imagine how you think you would do badly on the SATs with a 730 on MATH2!

Well on the sat the math section was the only section I was good at. Even that wasn't as good as my 32 on math with the act. The trickiness of the SAT would get me. Reading and witting, those don't go very well.

Well thanks for the response. One more question. If I do send in these scores, will they see all 3 or just the best 2. I heard that with some schools the admissions people will only see the best 2 (or 3 for schools that require 3) scores on their paper. If they will see all 3 I would retake chem because I know I can do better.

they see all of them, but only consider your best two.
