Been through college admissions process now twice with 2 kids and sometimes i think there is little rhyme or reason to the process. If you get accepted Congrats but if not, know there will be other wonderful schools that you can thrive at. LOVE THE SCHOOL THAT LOVES YOU BACK!
Accepted with Faculty Scholar Award!
son got a Faculty scholar award for one time stipend of 3k but nothing in FA and he qualified for significant FA at other schools. perplexed FA would be calculated that much differently.
Accepted! So surprised and happy!! All of you who were rejected or wait-listed, keep your heads up! You are incredible, amazing students and people, and it really is a lottery. You will do such amazing things in this world no matter where you end up.
I just got waitlisted. I didn’t have an interview. I really think an interview would have expressed an important side of me. I am waiting on Middlebury and Williams. I was also Deferred from Dartmouth, my top choice, and haven’t heard back.

Accepted with Faculty Scholar Award. Haha an acceptance after two recent waitlist is nice.
Son now accepted to 5 schools with all schools almost identical FA packages with Bowoin being the outlier. Starting to think they did a miscalculation given all 4 schools (some similar Pomona, Middlebury) similar and bowdoin saying he didnt qualify for anything except for the faculty scholar award of 3k (one time stipend). Hoping FA is nice and we can just tell them /or send them the other schools packages.
Wait-listed, but accepted into BC, BU and Holy Cross!
@skierrrmn lol same here! Deferred from Dartmouth ED. Wait-listed at Bowdoin. Now anxiously waiting to hear back from Williams (my second choice) and still holding out hope for Darmouth (my top choice). Good luck!!!
Waitlisted. Also, was just accepted at Kenyon, rejected for Pomona, and wait listed for Middlebury.
Waitlisted - I’m guessing a large part of it was because I didn’t interview (I missed the deadline). In any case, already got my early write to williams with decent aid so I was more curious to see if I got in than actually wanting to attend.
DD was wait listed. Sounds like she’s in good company. She didn’t interview either.
just called FA office and they corrected the FA package and were very kind. The FA package is now similar to Pomona, Middlebury, Wash Univ and Kenyon’s FA package. Apparently they missed a form that affected calculations. Just posting in case anyone else feels their FA package was not consistent with other school FA offers.
Thanks for confirming that. It seemed odd – Bowdoin has pretty good financial aid. Congratulations on all those possibilities. Daughter was waitlisted. 33 ACT, 14 APs, 3.95 UW, good ECs, and good letters. She interviewed (and it went well) during our campus visit from the other side of the country. Not sure what they were looking for …
