Just wondering if anyone is aware of Bowdoin’s Early Decision II acceptance rate? I would like to apply either ED I or ED II. Is there any advatage (numbers wise) to applying ED II over regular decision?

wavywonder, this is what I recall the situation for the class of 2014 to have been. My son was admitted ED II. Bowdoin accepted 36% of the ED I applicants and about 17% of the ED II applicants. The overall acceptance rate was about 19%. The class ended up at 510 students, which was about 20-25 students larger than wanted/expected. No one came off the waiting list this year. 43% of the class came from the ED process.

You can find the specifics for 2014 and data from previous years via Internet searches and checking the school’s Common Data Set reports.
