Any input on Swarthmore?

IMO these schools are really different…what appeals to you about each?

I can’t chance you, but both schools are reaches for you as they are for everyone.

At both schools your ACT comp and SAT M scores are below the 25%ile:

Bowdoin class of 2023 https://www.bowdoin.edu/admissions/at-a-glance/class-of-2023.html

Swat class of 2022 (can’t find 2023) https://www.swarthmore.edu/institutional-research/common-data-set

Without knowing the rest of your app, and its relative strengths it difficult to make recommendations…but you might consider applying test optional at Bowdoin. But if your app is really strong across the remaining facets, the ACT 31 might be ok to send. What does your GC think?

I think you can regard these two highly selective colleges as equivalently excellent for the study of economics and associated social sciences: https://ideas.repec.org/top/top.uslacecon.html.
