So, who else is planning on going? It’s 4 days of fun and apparently it was sent out to low-income minorities to entice them to come to Bowdoin. For me personally, I find that to be a great and kind gesture to the college and shows me that they are really going out of their way because they want us. I am really excited to go!

Oh, and I love the fact that the form asked what T-Shirt size we wear. I hope we get one. That polar bear looks so cute so hopefully we’ll get that one since its the classic t-shirt! :)

I was gonna start a thread by next week, but I guess we could start now… lol I’m pretty sure we will get a cool t-shirt. I don’t think they are that mean to ask our t-shirt size just because… Actually, I asked my interviewer about Bowdoin Experience, and she said the food will be amazing!! It’s ranked like #2 in the nation by Princeton Review or something. She also mentioned that it may still be cold up there. (In Texas, mid-April is HOT!)

Sorry, to be a little quick on the draw, but I was hoping we could also attract other people who may be coming to the experience and the early bird gets the worm. Oh, and I have also heard the Bowdoin food is VERY delicious. I remember seeing a New York Times article about the food. I’ll try and fetch it.

I’m going, too! And it’s definitely not just for low income minorities because I am white and middle class. I think it might also be for first generation college students (me) to try to entice them to go there.

Okay, well then Bowdoin Experience 2009 is for minority and first-generation students. Welcome, hitsbig! Is Bowdoin one of your top choices to go?

Honestly, it’s not one of my top choices, but it’s my top choice out of what I’ve gotten into so far. And I always said I’d visit every school I’d get into, and I haven’t visited Bowdoin yet, so I figured this would be a great chance to do so. I’m really excited for it though!

Hey guys! Yeah, I think I’m going to be going to the Bowdoin Experience too! I’m white, middle-class too, so I’m not sure about the whole “who it’s for” thing. I thought all the accepted students just received one. By any means, I’m excited for and excited to meet some prospective classmates for next year!

Oh, no… it was definitely not for everyone… lol But I am surprised that you were invited because you are from Maine according to your CC info… :)

In California. Thing is, I just sent in my registration today too. I think it’s because I talked to their office today and asked about their Open House since my Dad wanted to attend.

Lets hope me and my friend get one Me and my good friend are most def. looking forward too it. If you are a minority who does not get one, does that mean you have been denied admissions?

The people who are invited to Bowdoin Experience were already offered admissions. If you didn’t get your decision yet, you won’t be invited to Bowdoin Experience, but you can still be accepted when they release the majority of their decisions.

I got my itinerary today. I am surprised that they are working so fast and willing to answer tons of my questions so kindly. Since I live in TX, my flight on Thursday(16th) is scheduled at 5:30 a.m.!! I also have to leave super early on Sunday morning because my flight’s at 5:50 a.m. It will be a bit tiring but so much fun!!

I couldn’t open the form from the email, so I emailed Mr Moore back to ask about that.
I can’t wait. I sacrificed a scholarship interview opportunity at another school to go to BE. I think it’s worth it :]
