Hi guys! I was admitted under ED 1 to the class of 2019. I have never visited Bowdoin, but I can not afford to fly to Maine. I applied to Explore Bowdoin last fall, but was denied. On my rejection letter to Explore Bowdoin, they wrote about going to the Bowdoin Experience if I was accepted. Is there any way I can apply to it? Or, if they just pick random people, do they ever choose kids who get in ED?
Thanks!
Seems like it is still invitation only, although I know they sort of merged all the accepted student programs a couple years ago, and are running them at the same time. Here’s a thread from students invited to Bowdoin Experience last year: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/bowdoin-college/1628963-bowdoin-experience.html
and here’s an article about how Bowdoin is now running the program(s): http://bowdoinorient.com/article/8117
and here’s a video from last year about the Open Houses and Bowdoin Experience:

Congratulations on your acceptance!
You would be crazy not to attend Bowdoin. I have been there and the town of Brunswick and it is lovely.
