<p>Hey CC, I got offered the Bowdoin Experience, and I’m wondering if any of you guys are planning on/have attended this program. What happens there, and is it like good glimpse into Bowdoin life?</p>
<p>It seem very interesting. Can you give me more detail about this program.</p>
<p>Seems to be a solid experience, and I have spring break then, so I would love to attend. I’m just wondering about other people’s experiences.</p>

In addition to your admission to join the Class of 2018, we’d like to invite you to join us for the Bowdoin Experience from Thursday, April 10 to Sunday, April 13, 2014. The Bowdoin Experience program is an all-expense-paid open house for a select and diverse group of admitted students. It provides an excellent opportunity to visit the College, meet our students and faculty, sample our wonderful food, and learn more about life at Bowdoin. While on campus, you will experience many of the academic opportunities and social activities that Bowdoin students enjoy. You will see that academic excellence, leadership, creativity, and character are hallmarks of a Bowdoin education. Many current Bowdoin students found the Experience incredibly helpful in their decision to enroll at the College – we hope you will join us and see what this dynamic community can offer to you.</p>
<p>For the Bowdoin Experience, we cover your travel expenses, and provide food and lodging for your entire four-day stay. If you would like to attend the Bowdoin Experience, you must register by Tuesday, April 1, 2014</p>

Is the “Bowdoin experience” different from the “Bowdoin Open House”? The dates are similar… I got an email about an Open House: </p>

These programs are designed to give you a sense of what it will be like to be a member of Bowdoin’s Class of 2018 and to offer you the opportunity to meet many of your future classmates. <p>@jihoonyangg, the bowdoin experience is a 4 day program wherein all travel is paid for by the college.</p>
<p>I think…correct me if I’m wrong…that the Bowdoin Experience is a program aimed at increasing diversity at the college. My son was invited to participate last year, that was my understanding. </p>
