Boy State

I know the general idea of it, and plan to run for a state office once I'm there, but anyone want to give me some ideas and such about what to expect once one is there, esp. about the political parties and actual elections/sessions/training itself? I got nominated by the principal of my school, so my counseler told me. Thanks

Bump .

Well, it wasn't that great, in my opinion. My best suggestion is to really get involved. You are automatically assigned to a political party, with your roommate being of the other party. There are elections basically every day, so try to get involved early. The seminars and stuff are boring. The social aspect is probably the best part, just hanging out with a bunch of kids. There is a decent amount of time to play sports and stuff. I went to NJ Boys State, so i dont know if your state does things differently. Hope this helped
