Okay, this sounds really superficial and petty, BUT...

What are the boys like at Cornell? Both look-wise and personality-wise.

I go to a school with 62% female and 48% male. It doesn't sound like that big of a difference, but I'd say 60% of the boys almost never speak, mostly just play video games 24/7 (I'm talking Maple Story and Final Fantasy, not just Halo), and some carry rolling backpacks. And that would be fine, I'm sure many of the girls could look past those traits, except for that a lot of them are kind of jerks when you really get to know them too.
Basically, my school completely sucks when it comes to guys.

So I was just wondering if I'd be going through this again in college, at Cornell. I mean, let's be honest this DOES make some sort of difference in the whole experience, right? It sure did for my high school experience.

Okay, yeah this was a really superficial post. But I do want to know!

I know this isn’t for me, but anyway:
There are 13,000 undergrads at Cornell, about half male.
They are there to study widely diverse fields, from Landscaping to Engineering Physics.
There is substantial financial diversity there, compared to other private colleges. There are people paying full freight at the endowed colleges, others with substantial need-based scholarships, others with subsidized tuition at the contract colleges.

I can say they are disporortionately from the Northeast, and New York State particularly, though they come from all over the country and all over the world. And I can say that, as a whole, they are relatively smart.

Other than that, there is wide variation. You will find all tyes of personalities there. The university does not select students based on looks, students do not submit pictures with their applciation so far as I know. So one must assume looks must be randomly represented, within the pool of relatively smart applicants.

Check your math, Somany…

OH MY GOD.

That was stupid.

HAHA. I meant 62 and 38.

thank you!

Well, I don’t like to brag but…
