<p>so my front retainer is kind of bent. one of the hook things arent really touching my tooth and it shifted it a little bit. i can't see my orthdontist for 10 days. can my teeth be fixed? should i still wear my retainer?</p>
<p>i would recomend calling your orthodontist or your regular dentist. if it was me i wouldnt wear it till i say my orthodontist</p>
<p>If the retainer does not fit properly anymore, I would not wear the retainer untill you can see your ortho. Don't worry about going 10 days, your teeth will shift very slightly, but not THAT much.</p>
<p>well the retainer fits in my mouth, its just that the hook shape part of my front wire isnt touching one of my tooth. it isn't poking me but my teeth somewhat shifted. im just concerned that my teeth won't move back where it was before.</p>
<p>they will always move back if you wear it. I am supposed to wear my retainer every night, I usually wear it once every week or so, and while it will be really uncomfortable when I put it on, it always moves my teeth back to the same spot. I stopped wearing it so much because the last time I was at my ortho, they shaped my retainer to overcompensate a bit for an error my bonded reatiner on my top teeth. The next time I go, i'll have it get fixed, and probably go back to wearing it close to nightly.</p>
