Randomness
Would you rather be extremely smart, extremely good looking, or extremely rich and why?

a twisted answer would be very smart and go to a top college and get a great job afterwards and make a lot of money. With the money get plastic surgery.

all of the above is not a choice, that would be nice though

with the above answer in mind...extremely rich. money=plastic surgery. money=get into good college/get good education.

but i suppose natural intelligence wins over educated intelligence. as does natural beauty over fabricated beauty. but i'd still pick the money.

extremely rich. Smartness is something I wouldn't need if I'm rich now is it? It would really serve no real purpose. And good looks are great and all, but they really are good for first impressions and nothing else.

My first answer would to be good looking. But beauty fades throughout time and I'd be depressed as a middle aged woman and men would like the 20 year olds. It wouldn't matter if I was a wife and mother though.

yeah, good looking probably is the only thing that makes one happy. I like mattistotle's response. If anything, being intelligent makes one miserable. Being rich doesn't really do anything.

Yeah, Mattistotle's philosophy seems like a fairly reasonable one. But then again, being rich seems to attract quite a few ladies too; look at Donald Trump.

If you are extremely attractive, you could get a job as an actor or a model, make a nice chunk of cash and still get the girl.

Yuck, I wouldn't date a male model. A good looking male with good communication skills could have a better chance getting lots of jobs, especially in business. I'm picky, I'd like a guy who works and has a great career. As long as he's not the type who loves his job too much and is never home :/

being rich doesnt buy any happiness, you didnt evolve with the concept of money. You have a primitive impulse for "more" but once you become rich you just want more anyways, so your happiness stays the same. You could say that if you rich you could do everything you ever wanted to do... ok then after you did all that you have nothing, no dreams, no goals, its quite boring and depressin. About the ladies and being rich, They like you for your money not for you...if you attractive they atleast like you, even if its something superficial... the love is still there. And the smarter you are the less happy you are (Lisa Simpson has a nice bar graph lol), you analyze things more and more, and find faults in more and more things with your life and the world. Also if you are overly inteligent you may be ostracized by mainstream society, unless you emulate how a dumber person acts. I am an athiest and my philosophy in life is the gain as much happiness as possible, without hurting anyone (yes athiest have sympathy and empathy, im sick of hearing athiests being immoral arguements) So ya being attractice would get you the most amount of happiness for the most amount of time. And a little to the side, if you are a highly intelligent person who is unhappy...try fitting in with normal people, acting a bit crazy w/e, even if you feel its stupid, youll be much happier when you fit in, and being happy will help your grades too.

Well the definition of happiness varies from each individual. I'm happy when I find a pretty rock on the beach. And everyone needed to know that :/

I'd say brains, because I don't have beauty and I'm fine, and I don't have a lot of money, and I'm fine, but I really enjoy having my brain, and I bet I'd like it even more if my brain were a bit sharper.

well it all depends on how u look at life and what if important in your life.... i look at life from an evolutionary/genetic stand point, dont believe in meaning to life, and strive to be happy in life... .im sure theres many people who have a total different perspective in life, especially if there religious, then my philosophy probably wouldnt hold true to them.

Mattistotle, your first post is very disturbing, in the ideals you present. You prefer to have a beautiful wife to have great sex? Okay, so if your thinking worked, what would happen after the sex? Will you be able to have an intelligent or thoughtful conversation with her or are the two of your interactions restrained to the bedroom?

i must agree that good looking is the way to go, with intelligence a close second. good looking people are generally confident, and that goes a long way towards happiness. intelligence adjusts ur expectations. for example, i wont be satisfied with less than HYPSM, Columbia. and unfortunately i cant exceed those expectations like someone of lower intelligence. having both looks and smarts will get u ur money. not having smarts and starting with money, well, you wont keep that money.
