Brandeis chances?

GPA - 3.7 unweighted
SAT - 2000
Not top 10% in a small public school (probably 20%?)
5-6 honors classes, 3 AP classes (AP Calc, AP Stats, AP Env Science)
Asian
ECs - Varsity Baseball/Soccer Captian, Varsity since 9th grade in both, Math Modeling, National Honor Society, Grade 3-6 Volunteer Helper, Grade 6 Step up day helper, Unpaid Intern at UMass, Indoor Soccer team organizer/captain, Summer/Fall Baseball, Summer Soccer. Maybe a few more ECs but can't think of any right now.

Chances? What are some good match schools for me too?

Get your SAT above 2200 and you’re good to go. 2150 is probably fine too

Easier said than done. What about my chances right now?

Anyone???

Looking at Brandeis’ Common Data Set: http://www.brandeis.edu/institutionalresearch/pdfs/CDS2011_2012_final.pdf

Your SAT scores appear to be about at the mean for students who enrolled in Brandeis last year.

56.28% of enrollees had a GPA of 3.75 or higher (with a mean of 3.8). 64.38% were in the top 10th of their class, and 93.57% in the top quarter. Your grades are a bit below this standard but are close enough that you should be considered a serious candidate.

So, overall, I’d say high match or low reach from where you stand now. Assume you cover yourself with true matches and safeties – this is the level of school you should be applying to and have a reasonable hope to attend.

If it’s your first choice, ED should help your chances.

Show demonstrated interest, have outstanding recommendations and have really strong essays

High match even with the asian factor? I visited Brandeis and I love it there.

bump… anymore advice is greatly appreciated. I will try my best to chance back!!!
