Brandeis university class of 2020 regular decision thread

Got accepted into the Media and Politics LSC  !
For the people who heard back about merit scholarships, did that come in a separate letter from your acceptance? I got a folder with a congratulations letter, but have yet to hear back about any financial aid.

@coolchic8000 It was included in the acceptance folder.

@SnapApp yikes, I guess thatā€™s not a good sign

@coolchic8000 Itā€™s okay. The need-based financial aid is still to come.

I just received the acceptance letter today with a Presidential Scholarship with 15k per year. Seems like a lot of students actually got scholarship! Thanks great. Does anyone know how many incoming freshman Brandeis accepts? And how many of them get scholarship? Thanks

Accepted with presidential scholarship!

I got accepted into Leadership in Health LSC but still havenā€™t heard back for my financial aid!!! Ugh, they should email so I can go to my new first choice in peace.

Received letter with Justice Brandeis scholarship yesterday!! And this morning I got an email and found out I was accepted into the Global Perspectives LSC!
Does anyone know if students in the same LSC are housed together?

Hey there
Accepted midyear- posting stats for benefit of future applicants. Doesnā€™t look like anyoneā€™s formatting any particular way, so here goes.
I got 1880(superscored!)SAT/28 ACT
Iā€™ve had an unusual academic background and done a lot of college dual enrollment, which I feel like kinda made up for my unremarkable test scores and show ability to work on my own, which is important to college admissions people. Also, I feel like being a somewhat unconventional student was what made me be accepted as a midyear (which I didnā€™t specifically request).
I have a GPA of 3.93 or 4.23 if you weight it the way UMass weighs it. I live in NE and have visited the school.
I was very happy with both my essay and my supplement, as I think I was able to capture my personality and aptitude to learn as well as talk about things that had been important parts of my life. I had three letters of recommendation- I didnā€™t read any of them, but they were all from people who I think liked me.
Congrats to everyone else who was accepted, especially those for whom Brandeis was your top school. Hugs to everyone who didnā€™t. This is a crazy cruel system weā€™re in.

I called the financial aid office today about the financial aid packages. They said to expect the packages in about 7-10 business days after after the acceptance packages were received.

Oh and I got the Justice Brandeis Scholarship and got into the Leadership in Health LSC

Anyone else here accepted to the IBS program?

I was accepted to IBS too! Not sure what it means tho

@SteadfastSoprano I live in a suburb of Chicago, Illinois. Do you think my location could have hurt my chances of getting in?

@welcometomylife I do. Chicago has one of the biggest Jewish populations in the US, and thus more people likely applied to Brandeis. In Arizona, where I live, there were certainly fewer applicants

Anyone received need-based aid yet?

@BCSP10 Iā€™m in NorCal and havenā€™t receive it yet, still waiting

Someone might have posted this already and I missed it, but did anyone get the Humanities Fellowship? I was wondering if anyone has anymore information about it, how prestigious the program is, what happens after the keystone seminar ends, etc. There isnā€™t much online and all information is so appreciated!

We got my sons financial aid today. It did not come in the mail. Instead we figured out how to register him on the Brandeis Sage page. Google Brandeis Sage. Then on the log in page, find the link that says do no know unet ID. They sent my son an email and he made a account.

@MominVT How do you find out your Brandeis username? It says itā€™s supposed to be the name before @brandeis.edu.
