On my OASIS page, under the "Awarded Aid", it says that one of the things I've been awarded is a "Predicted FL Medallion Scholar" of about $1,400 for Fall and 1,400 for Spring.
I'm eligible for the 75% Bright Futures, also known as Florida Medallion Scholars Awars, which is why it appears to me that that "Predicted FL Medallion Scholar" is my Bright Futures.
Do you think that's what it is? Or is it some other "Medallion Scholar" award that's listed on OASIS?

Some people told me that BF have not been awarded yet, so it can't be listed on OASIS yet, which I hope is true because $1,400/semester does not look appealing at all...

Florida Medallion Scholar is one of the Bright Futures scholarships; it’s the old “75%” award. The $1400/semester estimate for the award sounds about right.

Mine has been on there for the past probably two and a half months. It says “predicted” because the Florida state budgets haven’t been signed yet and for all we know, Bright Futures is going to take another cut this year. Those are projected dollar amounts, they were from last year. Every year, the trend shows that amount dropping.

Welcome to America, where our government invests in bombs that we never use rather than higher education.

This price is also “estimated” because grades and community service hours haven’t been finalized yet through the high schools (if you’re an incoming freshman.)
