Bringing a car on campus

So I'm an out of state incoming freshman student and I was hoping to bring my car down to UF. I would basically leave it parked most of the time and use it once in a while on weekends to visit friends in FL and such, and also the main reason would be to drive home for long weekends if airfare is extremely expensive with another friend who is attending and lives close to me at home.

I dont mind paying the annual fee, but is this practical? Would I be able to always get a spot somewhere? Like I said I dont need it to be near classes cause I would just walk to them from my dorm (Murphree), just
a place to leave it on campus like a big garage or something (if that exists) that's also safe.

That would work. There is a freshmen lot by graham area and I think there is one by sorority row. I mostly only used my car on weekends. Moving during the week and sometimes be difficult because it might take a little time to find another spot when you get back.
