Bringing a Kindle to school?

Would a Kindle be an asset to have for AP Literature or nah? Should I just use regular dead tree books?

Edit: - The basic black and white kindle, no touch screen or anything. Purely the ebook version. No Angry Birds.

You don’t really read books in school, so there’s probably no benefit to taking one to school. It might be useful for reading the books at home, but I didn’t have one when I took AP Lit and I was okay.

Could be helpful. Personal choice. We just started reading Walden in AP Lang today and a few people are using their Kindle/Nook. Helpful when needing to look up a specific passage. I prefer real books in general, especially when reading for school (so I can write in them if they’re my own copy/sticky note them) but some people don’t mind.

Yeah, I think a good portion of the reading in AP Lit is done at home. I might use the Kindle for solely reading assignments, but the paperback books for papers and such, as they’re easier to navigate.
