bringing a moped to ucsc

<p>I'm an incoming freshman to UCSC for Fall 2011. And i am an avid surfer. I know that you cant have a car when your a freshman, and that you cannot bring a surfboard on the bus, which is really lame. </p>

<p>I was wondering how practical mopeds are for going to the beach. </p>

<p>Also, If anyone on here does surf, how do you get to the beach?, and would you recommend a moped with a surfboard rack?</p>

<p>I wouldn’t bring one, likely to get stolen. Get a bike with a rack, its not that short of a ride but not too difficult. By the time you get to the surf you’ll be warmed up and ready to shred the lane.</p>
