Brit hoping to study in America...

... Do you think I'd fit in with the whole university social life? All the campus activites and fraternity stuff is very alien to me.

Also, what do girls think about english guys? I hear the accent is quite charming for American girls. Am I right?

the accent is known to be very addictive here…

Just open your mouth, say one word, and girls will start throwing their “knickers” at you.

(Not all girls, I might add, but a good amount. Especially if you are gorgeous)

I can’t ****ing wait!

People here love British accents. And it’s just not the girls, either. Everyone will give out that extra bit of respect. It’s a sign of refinement and class here, even if you are a working-class East Londoner with a Cockney accent.

But, it also depends on where you go to school… The Northeast may be the most receptive to Brits…

^ Yeah, I think it is true about the Northeast. Go to school in the New England and Mid-Atlantic states and you’ll be welcomed. You’ll fit in.

Also, many schools aren’t heavily on frat life.
