British curriculum question

Hi

I go to an international school which follows british education system.

Therefore, in our Junior and Senior year, we take A levels.

Most people take 4 AS Level and then drop one of them during Senior year.

Taking 4 subjects only, I actually do not meet requirements in most US colleges.

For example, they want me to take English for 4 years. That means I have to take English A level even though I'm intended to major in engineering..

Unfortunately, my A level subjects are Maths and 3 sciences (ph,ch,bio)..

Am I in big trouble? Will colleges reject my application b/c I didn't fulfill their requirement?

I assume you took GCSE’s (or IGCSE’s or O’Levels)? You should have an English grade. If it’s A*-C, you’re fine. :)

Yes, I took English as a Second language and got an A. phew… That’s quite relieving…

But what about foreign language requirement? I didn’t take it in gcse as well…

Is it ok to prove to adcom that I’m fluent in other languages other than English by taking SAT II?

Yes, it is.
Be careful, not all languages are offered on each date, except Spanish, so pick the date based on the language you plan to take.
