My son, who attends a top London (British) school, will be visiting the ND campus this month and will likely apply. Does anyone know any British-raised people (either Brits or expat Americans) who have attended ND? Did they like the school, and was the adjustment hard? Did they find the school isolated? Thanks, Londondad

One of the girls in my Calculus class is a pre-med and British and loves it! She found the hardest adjustment was the fact that she had a notable accent. The weather is pretty bad during the winter, which shouldn’t be too different from London.

Actually, it is LOT different than London in the the winter. It rarely (and then only for a week or so) gets below 35F in London, whereas I have experienced -15C in Chicago.

However, thanks for the good news on your British friend.

He will need to get better at Metric/Standard conversions - and not use both in the same sentence. :)

Also, when he goes to the huge stadium to watch Notre Dame football, he might be in for a surprise.
