<p>He is a sophmore now at Umichigan, majoring in business management. All I can really tell you is that he has a 4.0 gpa, 2120 (1500 Math+CR), and plans on transferring to Columbia. He is involved in school and would need no financial aid, where do you think he stands?</p>
<p>I think needing no financial aid helps a lot, even if schools might say otherwise. He probably has a solid chance.</p>

<p>Columbia's transfer rate last year was 6.4%...keep that in mind.</p>
<p>He has a standard chance but probably won't get in. That's not enough info at all to even roughly assess it though...</p>
<p>There were people last year from good colleges with higher SAT scores (Berkley, 3.8; Carnegie Mellon, 4.0) that didn't get in. Search for last year's decisions thread if you're interested.</p>
