and ivy, i know that it is not the week of the first because our interviewers have until the first to hand in there evaluations. i think the earlier they hand it in and the earlier you sent your stuff in the earlier the decision is made for you. i am not sure if they are releasing this thing all at once though… scawey =,(

I had my interview today as well. Very relaxed and fun. Interviewer was a realist though, and reminded me of the PLME admission stats lol.

I’m guessing 10th-15th is a more realistic time frame.

I applied ED, but no one has contacted me for an interview yet. Should I contact the admissions office?

@tetrisfan,

Just post any captions here or private message them to me, and I’ll add em.

jackbenimble4, you are my hero for creating my newest unhealthy obsession. :)

@Finley: Yes, you should.

@jackbenimble4: Ooh, this is exciting. I’ll think of some stuff.

hey tetris are you the one who started the Brown '14 Facebook group? because the exact same starting phrase is used : “here’s our place to live, love and obsess, y’all”.

^ yea. i was meaning to ask that…

No, I didn’t start it. The CC member Obstinate started it, and he used my phrasing in this thread because he didn’t have any other idea for a conclusion at the time :p

hahaha. Ok… also I think I identified you from that page…
It’s pretty obvious ! :)

Haha I know, it is kind of obvious :p

finley:
I didn’t get a call for my interview either and I am trying to make sense of it. Do you consider yourself a strong candidate or is it a reach? What’s your theory on how this is happening?

has anybody been in direct contact with the person who is in charge of his/her file?

i have been directly contacted by the admissions officer for my area. they are one of the primary people who look over your file. they then choose people from your area as accepted candidates. there is only so many people that gets accepted per area. my friend who got accepted to brown and had an interview said that her interviewer said this. so for those of you who have alot of people applying ed to brown,you chances are slimmer because there is only so many of you who can get accepted. when i heard this i almost freaked…dont know what to think any more.

random fact of the day:

Right-handed people live, on average, nine years longer than left-handed people do.

longrohnsilver & finley: I still haven’t been contacted for an interview either. I sent Undergraduate Admissions an email on Friday asking if I should be concerned and they just forwarded it to the alumni office that organizes the interviews. Still waiting… hopefully we’ll all hear something soon!

Adeyadi: There’s a bunch of people from my area applying ED, so I hope there isn’t really some sort of maximum number allowed to be accepted from one area… :/

P.S. So glad I’m right-handed right now! haha. Adeyadi, where did you find that statistic? It’d be interesting to see why they think that’s happening… too many accidents with right-handed scissors? :P

I also haven’t been contacted for an interview. I sent the admissions office an email but haven’t heard back yet.

narwhals i just look up random facts =D u should look at the one i did yesterday. that one was really weird. and i dont know if we could find out for a fact from the admissions office about quotas because you know how they would always say that certain things are not a factor when they really are…maybe when you have your interview and they ask you the question about is there anything you would like to know you can ask for sure. i would have asked but i had my interview before i found this out.

literally 10% of my high school class is doing ED Brown

Hi Brown Board,
This is Brian from the Penn Board. Our ED thread is dead. You guys seem to be very excited about Brown. Just thought I’d let you know. It’s interesting lol.
