um…guys…i just received some bad news from the brown 2014 hopefuls facebook page…

The Brown Daily Herald - Early applicant pool grows for Class of 2014

“Early applications to Brown are up 21 percent from last year, according to Jim Miller ’73, dean of admission. They numbered over 2,850 at the Nov. 1 deadline, he said, up from 2,343 last year.”

"Applications to the Program in Liberal Medical Education were up 35 percent over last year, Miller said.

i really am sorry if i am increasing the tensions an nervousness. I think someone should double…maybe even triple check this please…

yea…i just read it on the Brown Herald…idk what to think about this…i am going to try to forget i ever saw it and continue with my over confident attitude…secretly…

If it is I’m hoping the applicants aren’t as qualified. I’m desperately crossing my fingers, hoping that they’re all reaching for Brown and feel the need to apply ED to get in.

hey i just stumbled on a thread about ed/ea dates for colleges. It says Dec 11 for Brown at 5. in this post it says the 14th. which one is true?

fastbreak, how did you take an already terrifying piece of information and make it that much worse?! Ugghhh, fingers crossed for the EWE. Which just makes me think of a big fluffy sheep, but moving on…

HYP? i hate acronyms. they could stand for 100 different things. do you mean hypothetically? anyway. why did you use that to be your rate? the only thing i am more or less sure about is that there is going to be more or less 135 students from new york in the admitted students because about 30% of the 2014 class comes from ed students which means 400. and then 30% comes from new york which means 135…but how many are applying in ny? the problem is that we have people like me competing with these people who goes to school in places like bronx science or brooklyn tech…this process is too intense. im bout to go take some sleeping pills and my prince charming can come wake me up when the wait is over. good night.=)

I sure hope it’s the Emma Watson effect! Ever since I applied ED to Brown the first reaction I get when I tell that to people is “oh…is it because of Emma Watson?”

This one friend of mine asked me if I knew anyone who stalked Emma Watson, given my undying love for Brown. I gave him a “you’re creepy” look and said that I didn’t.

Jeez, people (who aren’t obsessed with Brown), there’s more to the university than Emma Watson!
