Pranam0, you’re right! Brown’s Neuroscience program is very good, and are other programs.
Last year, I visited Cornell and I was so sure that I wanted to apply there for ED, because its college of arts and sciences is just too amazing for me. Not until last spring, I visited Brown, everything changed! I loved Brown’s environment, the people there, and its open curriculum, its history, and quality of teaching are excellent.

Cornell-they are seven distinct colleges; If you’re undecided, then arts and sciences is the best choice and so on. I heard from a lot of people, they say Cornell’s academic is extremely rigorous, rigorous than other ivies, such as Brown.
Dartmouth- I have never been there. But I heard that there is a lot of drinking scenes. But not sure about the academic.

I don’t think the ED pool is going to be a lot of applicants. Probably it would be around 3000-4000 applicants. The thing I’m scared about is that ED applicants are extremely competitive. :(

Brown is not a serious academic institution. That’s why very few of the top financial institutions recruit there.

And Brown doesn’t blow Cornell and Dartmouth out of the water in the sciences. Cornell has the strongest sciences, particularly engineering sciences, of the Ivy League. You clearly have no idea what you’re talking about.

^ Um, my dad works for a top automotive industry and said that he and many many many many people in the industry look at Brown particularly than any other school because of the way we’re taught. Sciences at Brown are strong, but Cornell engineering is better than Brown engineering. But then they jump off that famous cliff.

“Brown is not a serious academic institution. That’s why very few of the top financial institutions recruit there.”

Because finance is the only career that shows seriousness lol. I don’t know if he’s a ■■■■■ or if he’s just stupid.
People interested in banking/finance who work hard with strong GPA’s have a good chance of getting a job. Don’t think that just because you go to Dartmouth, you’re guarenteed a spot in IB. I believe you’re the one who has no idea what they are talking about.

EDIT: DmouthGrad2014, you’re the guy who insulted someone for having a lower SAT score than you? Nevermind, I’m not even going to argue with you…

Well, I don’t think Brown is not a serious institution.
Let’s say your assumption is right. It isn’t a serious institution, why would everyone in the nation called Brown as an Ivy league?
If it isn’t a serious institution, how come there is a lot of people applying and want to get accepted to Brown?

BTW, Brown’s acceptance rate is actually lower than Dartmouth’s acceptance rate, so this will definitely show you which institution is better.
