<p>Why does brown have an additional essay for chemistry? Does that mean it is a hard major to get into and you have to apply as an applicant to enter it?</p>

<p>Brown also has an extra tour available for people interested in the physical sciences. Based on everything I’ve read and seen, Brown is looking to strengthen their Chemistry, Physics, Geology and Computer Science departments. One way to do this is to accept students who have already shown a strong passion for one of these subjects. </p>
<p>Don’t be intimidated by the essay. If you’re truly interested in Chemistry, it can only help you.</p>
